Welcome to Stitch-Colour-Cloth, an independent stitching group in Perth, UK. We are an inclusive group for all things textile arts, meeting on the second Saturday of the month from September to May at Oakbank Community Centre. Our curriculum is broad and varied to cater for all interests. During our monthly meetings, there will usually be the opportunity to meet fellow stitchers in the morning over a cup of tea before a talk by an external speaker in the afternoon. Two of the meetings will be full-day workshops. Our group is affiliated to the Scottish Stitch & Textile group and the Embroiderers Guild.

Our members enjoy a variety of textile arts, ranging from traditional embroidery to quilting and experimental mixed media work. Whether you are a complete novice or a seasoned stitcher, everyone with a passion for textiles is welcome! Needlework can be a lonely hobby, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Our group connects you to others with the same interest, gives you the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and learn new skills. We participate in exhibitions, open days and of course The Gathering, an annual convention of all independent stitching groups under the “Scottish Stitch and Textiles” umbrella. Want to find out more? Send us a message and come along to our next meeting! Our committee will be more than happy to have a chat with you.

The fee for annual membership is £50 and gives you access to all talks, the chance to borrow from our extensive textile art library of over 200 books, the chance to participate in our annual exhibition as well as priority access to our workshops (at a small additional fee). Have a look at our curriculum to see the exciting speakers we have lined up for the 2024-25 season, or contact us here for any questions.
